A gentle, grounded perspective.
There are many questions around psychic attacks, energetic attachments, and entities. A lot of information online can sound frightening or dramatic. I want to offer a gentle, more grounded perspective so these experiences can be understood without fear.
First, it’s important to say this clearly:
Most people are not under entity attack.
What many people experience is energetic sensitivity combined with stress, emotional overload, trauma activation, or overly open energetic boundaries. When the nervous system is overwhelmed, the energy body often responds in ways that can feel confusing or unfamiliar.
What is a psychic attack or attachment?
A psychic attack is simply described as the transfer or projection of energy, emotions, or thought forms from one person to another. This can happen purposely, but far more often it happens accidentally.
Because we live among many people with different emotions, expectations, fears, and moods, most of us have experienced this at some point in life without realizing it.
There are two main types:
Accidental or unconscious psychic attacks (the most common). This happens when someone has strong emotional thoughts about you. Worry, fear, concern, or emotional intensity can unconsciously be picked up by the recipient. This is especially common between people with an existing connection such as partners, family, friends, or colleagues. Even loving concern can feel heavy when the receiver is sensitive.
People don’t even know they are unconsciously sending psychic attacks.
Here are a few examples:
• Manifesting words by what we say negatively about others.
• Thinking of people negatively or holding a grudge towards another.
• Gossip.
These are all examples of accidental or unconscious psychic attacks we all probably do at some time in our life.
Intentional psychic attacks.
This is far less common. It requires repeated focus, emotional charge, projection, dream invasion, and intention. When it does occur, it usually comes from unresolved emotional attachment, jealousy or envy, resentment, obsession, or control dynamics. Even then, intention alone is rarely enough to cause real harm, more than uncomfortable and unsettling.
Intentional influence tends to affect someone more when they are emotionally depleted, highly stressed, ungrounded, or energetically open without clear boundaries.
How psychic attacks often feel (energetically & physically)
Psychic influence is often easy to identify once you know what to look for. It tends to feel foreign and intense or dramatic.
Common experiences include:
• sudden emotional heaviness after interacting with certain people
• racing thoughts that don’t feel like your own
• pressure in the head or chest
• fatigue that appears quickly and lifts after rest or grounding
• irritability, anxiety, nausea, drained energy, or overstimulation with no clear cause
• energetic activity or pulls or snaps on your energetic field
• you start to have scary thoughts, nightmares, or visions unlike usual
Energetically, this often feels like your field is too open and absorbing more than it can process. Physically, the nervous system moves into protection mode.
A simple way to test whether something belongs to you is to silently say:
“I send this back to where it came from.” Or “I send this back to the sender.”
If the sensation or emotion does not belong to you, it often dissipates quickly. Or with some work on clearing, protecting, and grounding, it will slowly fade away.
These experiences usually shift with grounding, hydration, breath, rest, nature, or gentle energetic clearing such as energy work or healing.
How to create protection and release influence
Your energy does not need forceful defense. It responds best to clarity, safety, and intention.
Simple practices include affirmations or prayer if that’s for you, self blessing or self awareness or being fully in your own energy, and genuinely kind inner dialogue. You can visualize yourself surrounded by a protective bubble, or a field of white or golden light that allows in only what is aligned with your highest good.
A grounding affirmation you can use is:
“I am surrounded by the great divine white light. Only love do I send out, and only love do I receive.”
Repeated gently, this helps strengthen boundaries without fear or tension.
The nervous system matters more than the story
Fear weakens energetic boundaries far more than awareness ever does.
The most effective form of “protection” is grounding, embodiment, emotional regulation, and clear relational boundaries.
If something feels off, it doesn’t automatically mean something is attacking you. More often, it means your nervous system is asking for rest, integration, or support.
You are allowed to explore these topics slowly, safely, and grounded. Curiosity is far more powerful than fear.
Have you felt a psychic attack?
What about entity attachments?
I will cover that in another post. 🤍
