You have probably heard of protecting your energy and shielding, cleansing as part of your energetic boundaries, but have you ever thought about protecting your energy field before going to sleep?
While sleeping (and meditating), our souls do other work whilst our body takes a physical rest. We become an open portal. If we haven’t been doing shielding we are opening up for other energies to blend and intrude.
If you’re waking up tired, anxious, or feeling slightly “off”…it might not just be stress or hormones.
Sleep is not just rest. It’s a portal.
When you fall asleep, your body softens, your subconscious opens, and your energy field becomes more receptive. You are no longer just in the physical, you are moving through energetic and spiritual layers. Some call it your soul goes to the lower astral world. Or the higher if you are trained.
If you go to sleep ungrounded, unprotected, and without intention, your dream space can become open and influenced by energies that are not yours.
This can show up as:
-restless sleep
-heavy or confusing dreams
-waking up drained
-or feeling disconnected the next day
While this is not something to fear.
It’s something to become aware of because your energy listens to you.
Your breath, your words, your intention… they hold authority.
When you consciously prepare your energy before sleep, you shift your entire night. Your dream space becomes a place of healing, clarity, and connection rather than processing and interference.
Before bed, return to yourself
1. Clear your field. Release the day. The emotions, the conversations, the energy that isn’t yours.
You don’t have to carry it into your sleep.
2. Call your energy back
Let your energy return from people, places, and thoughts.
Feel it gently settle back into your body.
3. Ground your body
Feel the weight of yourself in the bed.
Let your nervous system know it is safe to rest.
4. Create your energetic boundary
Visualize a soft but strong light around your body.
A shield that filters, not closes.
Only what is aligned with you is allowed in. With the highest good.
5. Set intention and declare your own power
This is where your power activates.
Your dream space responds to what you allow.
Sleep Intention / Prayer
’Under the guidance of pure source energy, from the highest good,
I now seal my body, mind, and energy field.
Nothing may enter my space without my consent.
I release all that is not mine.
My energy is protected.
My body is safe.
My field is clear.
I open only to guidance, healing, and truth that is aligned with my highest self.
Let my sleep restore me.
Let my dreams support me.
Let me wake up clear, grounded, and in my power.’
The more you do this, the more your body learns that it is safe to fully let go.
And when your system feels safe…
That’s when real healing happens.
